All Local Union No. 124, IBEW Signatory Contractors are bound to the Local Union's Inside Agreement by a signed Letter of Assent.  The Letter of Assent is a legal and binding document, holding both the Union and the Contractor to the terms of the Inside Agreement.  

All Signatory Contractors are also required to be bonded.  The bonding amount is determined by the number of Local Union members the contractor employs.  The bond protects the employees' benefit fund contributions.  Benefits contribution dollars, for such benefits as health and welfare and pension, are required to be sent, along with a certified payroll report, to the Local Union's benefit office monthly.  The bond guarantees the payment of these funds and thus the security of the membership's benefits.
