| Sub-committees Meet (Nov. 07 - Apr. 08) | |||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Sub-committees have met. Most recently, the Attitude
and Accountability Committee has come back to the LMCC with
suggestions on the Code of Excellence. The items in the
proposed Code of Excellence closely paralleled the
International's code of Excellence with some distinct
differences for our area. This Code of Excellence is
currently being scrutinized by the LMCC members and hopefully
their will be some action taken on it in the near future.
The Planning and Logistics Committee. A document
has been generated, which speak to pre-job meetings held by the
contractor on jobsites to explain responsibilities, logistics
and issues on that particular project. As of yet, this
document has not been adopted, but is being reviewed by the LMCC.

Custom Light Display Kicks Off the Holiday Season There is a new Kansas City holiday lighting tradition at the Ronald McDonald House (2502 Cherry Street, Kansas City, MO 64108) in Longfellow Park. On Sunday, November 19, 2006 children and families that are guests of the house “threw the switch” on a display provided by the Power Partners. The lighting display began as a competition amongst students at the Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center (JATC) in Kansas City. Each was asked to submit ideas for a unique lighting display that represents the holiday season. Through the competition, JATC students created something unique for the community and something the families of the Ronald McDonald House will enjoy through the holiday season. The lights will be on display along Gillham Road at 25th Street of the Ronald McDonald House in Longfellow Park November 19 – January 7 each day from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
